All About Celebration

Celebration is a unique planned development of residential villages connected by paths and sidewalks to a commercial area with shops, restaurants and a movie theater. Celebration’s amenities include: over 30 parks, numerous fountains, 4 community pools, miles of nature walks, tennis courts, a community center and an award-winning 4-star golf course.

Real Estate:

The current phases of Celebration are almost completely built-out. For the forseeable future there will be no new construction, only resale homes.. The Celebration Company still owns a section of land located in the far south of Celebration called Island Village. If and when it will ever be developed is unknown. Currenly Celebration has 4,060 homes and condominums with around 9,00 residents. At completion, Celebration could have as many as 5,800 homes and 13,000 residents.
The condo prices can start as low as$75,000s and go as high as the $600,000s for the most luxurious units. There are 10 different condominium complexes in Celebration. Many of Celebration’s condominiums were originally built as condos, while others were converted from apartments. Single-family homes start at $275,000 and go up to more than $4.5 million. Single-family homes in Celebration are categorized based on their lot size. The designations are: Bungalow, Garden Home, Cottage Home, Village Home, and Estate Home. The smallest are the Bungalows and the largest are the Estate Homes.

A wide range of rental properties are available, but Celebration only allows long-term rentals, for 12 months or more for homes. Three-month rentals are allowed for garage apartments, but any one garage artments cannot be rented more than twice each year. Whether you’re interested in a one-room studio apartment above a resident’s garage, a 3-bedroom luxury condo, or one of the many single-family homes also available for rent, there are many options to choose from.
Education:
Educational opportunities abound in Celebration. Celebration is home to: Celebration K-8 School, Community Presbyterian Preschool, Children’s World day care and preschool, Montessori Preschool and Elementary School, Celebration High School with its International Baccalaureate program, and a satellite campus of Stetson University, the oldest private university in the state of Florida.

Town Events and Activities:
Celebration residents enjoy numerous activities and special events all year long right here in Celebration. Some of these events include: the twice–yearly Celebration Art Show, Founders’ Day carnival, Fourth of July festivities, the Posh Pooch weekend, Winter snow, and The Great American Pie Festival. In addition, Celebration’s Parks and Recreation department organizes youth, teen and adult activities open to all interested residents.
Medical:
A variety of medical care is also available in Celebration including several in-town doctors with independent practices. Celebration Health hospital offers a complete medical center and a 60,000 square foot fitness center.

Worship:

Celebration has a vibrant and diverse community of worship groups that meet in town. Community Presbyterian Church is located downtown and the Corpus Christi Catholic Church is located at Celebtation Ave. & Waterside Street. The Community Church of Celebration owns land in town and is developing their building plans. There are also numerous inter-denominational congregations that meet at various facilities in town plus the Celebration Jewish Congregation.

Civic, Social and Service Groups:
Celebration is home to so many civic and service groups that it is hard to keep track of them all. They include: Chamber of Commerce, The Celebrators (over 55 club), Women’s Club, community theatre, Garden Club, Rotary, Red Hat Society, DAR, Garden Club, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Brownies, a variety of political groups and many more.
